Former NRL footy player, Chris Walker, has walked from Cairns to the Gold Coast to raise money for several beneficiaries through Fund My Challenge.
Chris Walker explained he got the idea from a friend who had done the 1800km challenge 15 years ago.
“We got talking about it and he said to me, you know, its a great way to create awareness for some organisations that are doing it tough…” he said.
“I’m very grateful for everyone’s donations. The money that will be dispersed to those beneficiaries, its gonna help massively,” he said.
Chris Walker aimed to complete the challenge in 68 days however due to the COVID lock-down it has been pushed back 3 days. He completed his challenge on Monday July 5 at Surfers Paradise Beach.
