Walk for Epilepsy is currently the biggest epilepsy event and this year is the first time it has become a national event.
CEO for Epilepsy Queensland, Chris Dougherty, explains the virtual event aims to encourage people to get out of the house and walk for a good cause.
“We came up with a virtual walk, people were needing to get out of the house and walk around and do their exercise and I thought we might give them some purpose around and make it a meaningful event,” he said.
The walk runs from the 1st until the 25th of October with all people involved to set their own target to help support those with epilepsy in QLD.
“People to get involved and to set their own target something that’s meaningful for them,” Chris said.
