STEPS 4208 have organised a Superhero Ride on Sunday July 4th to raise awareness for mental health.
Vice President for STEPS 4208, Sue, explains this is their first event like this one.
“Especially for the children in the area, to let them know that it’s okay to not be okay and to channel their energy into being their own mental health superhero,” she said.
The ride will start with breakfast at Caffeine Cowboy at 7.30am and finish for lunch at the Gem Hotel, with all money raise throughout the day and leading up to the event going to Lifeline.
“We are encouraging people to come dressed as a superhero, you can come on a motorbike, you can come in a car or you can meet us at various points around Ormeau and Pimpama,” Sue said.
Our Good News segment highlights acts of kindness, achievements and amazing stories from local charities to the more personal accomplishments of local Gold Coasters.
