Local Artist and co-director of The HELP Charity, Tayla-Lee, has written a song called United Souls which is about uniting together as a community against discrimination.
“The whole song is really about standing up against things that aren’t meant to be happen to people, they are meant to feel safe in their body no matter what colour, no matter what race, no matter what gender, whatever size you believe you are… that is you,” she said.
Hearing all of these terrible situations Tayla-Lee felt the need to write a song, which also features co-director of The Help Charity and Aboriginal Elder, Paula Vi, who also painted the album artwork.
The Help Charity continue to encourage people to raise their voices.
“Use your voice and use it for good and just be willing to be kind and to be generous to anyone who is willing to listen to you,” Tayla-Lee said.
