TLDR: At the end of last year, Jacob Lee, joined Elerrina and Jodie as their very last guest for Fri-Yay Live 2021 talking about his new EP.
Gold Coast Pop singer-songwriter, Jacob Lee, joined Elerrina and Jodie for their last ever Fri-Yay Live for 2021 talking about his new EP that was meant to be an album.
He explains he’s been holding his album, coming out in 2023, “ransom” for almost half a year.
“I was getting impatient so I brought a few of the songs that were meant to be coming in 2023 to now and so I thought why not release 4 tracks and bring them out to people,” Jacob said.
Jacob explains, like everyone else, Covid has effected him in the way of tours being cancelled several times however he has had a lot of time in his studio.
“I’m pretty active online so I am organising some online ‘tours’ that I can do for people… it’s not the same as being in the room as people but we have the technology to at least bridge the gap until I can tour next time,” he said.
Last time his tour was cancelled he broadcast 3 shows through YouTube, Instagram and Twitter called ‘The No Tour Tour’ and found it worked well.
Elerrina asked about ‘Jacob Lee’s Archive’ which is an NFT Project that is slowly becoming more popular in the virtual world.
“At the end of the day it’s digital collectables, instead of me sending out a signed copy of a vinyl I can send out a digital vinyl with a verification check mark that means there is only one of them available,” Jacob explains.
Jacob Lee sang his song ‘Oceans’, a song he wrote while going through a lull is his music writing.
