Grammy Award winning and Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) platinum-selling artists For King & Country have gained three more awards to add to their K-Love Fan Awards collection.
The K-Love Fan Awards, which bring together some of the biggest names in Christian music, sports, books and movies with their fans for a big night of Christian entertainment, took place at the Nashville Grand Ole Opry House on Sunday 29 May.
For King & Country took home Artist of the Year, Group/Duo of the Year and Song of the Year for For God Is With Us.
This has given Australian-born brothers Luke and Joel Smallbone the title of most awarded artist in K-Love history landing them a total of 16 K-Love Fan Awards over their career.
“One can’t help but reflect on the last year after an overwhelming night… and your kindness in voting us as the recipient of three awards,” For King & Country said.
Over the last year, the Smallbone brothers have dealt with healing, partnership and understanding more about the power of family – as they revealed their grandmother passed away just last week.
“We are honoured to walk through this dynamic thing called life with you and feel your appreciation in a palpable way today,” they said.
Prayers Answered After Vocal Cord Surgery
One year ago, Luke wasn’t sure if he was going to have his voice back after vocal cord surgery, however, he regained his voice and decided to get back into singing and is very thankful for all the support from fans.
“[We are] grateful for your prayers during that time of my life, and for the healing the Lord has brought since. And Grateful to you, for your enduring kindness to me and my brother,” Luke wrote in a social media post.
Recently debuting at number seven on the Billboard 200, For King & Country’s latest Album What Are We Waiting For? is their second top 10 album with 13 original songs that touch on community, unity and family.
For King & Country will be travelling around performing their new songs for their Summer Festival Circuit after wrapping up their What Are We Waiting For? national arena tour.
