TLDR: Co-founder of The Marriage Co. Jason Dawkins spoke with Elerrina and Jodie about Hope and keeping that hope alive.

Pastor, Youth Worker and Co-founder of The Marriage Co., Jason Dawkins, talks with Elerrina and Jodie about Hope and ways to keep that hope alive.

Jason begins by explaining hope is something we all need and the hopeless feeling is the feeling we’ve all had through the the last couple of years with Covid and lockdowns.

“It’s the lack of confidence in the future that makes us feel hopeless,” he said.

Hope should be the beginning of the journey and not our last resort.

“If we bring it right back what is hope?” Elerrina asked.

“Hope means to be expectant, to be patient and to trust. It’s a word of confidence, expecting with peace and patience what you want and what you desire can actually can come to pass,” he said.

Jason talks about applying your hope to action, by putting things in place that you can apply hope to.

“Put your expectations into action, How does one do that,” Elerrina said.

He says the way to do that is to remind yourself of all the battles you’ve won.

“When looking a the The battles we have won can become testimonies of the battles we can win, looking at all those hard times and telling yourself if I did it then I can do it now,” Jason said.

The next thing is to asses what the problem is. Break down the hope process and take it one step at a time.

“We could right down the things that we have overcome to see this is who I am, like I’ve done some really great things just to try to encourage down that path,” Jodie said.

Make your challenges your testimonies or make the test the testimonies.
