TLDR: Co-founder of The Marriage Co. Jason Dawkins spoke with Elerrina about different ways to renew your mind.

Pastor, Youth Worker and Co-founder of The Marriage Co., Jason Dawkins, talks with Elerrina about renewing our mind and how the cells in our body replace themselves every 7 – 10 years.

“It’s a new us…renewal for the most part is something very important, if our bodies do it we need to do it for our minds,” Jason said.

He explains that words create worlds over us and if these words are constantly around us it can impact us in a negative way.

“Negative words have negative results and we are then formed into an image of what people think we should be in instead of what we think we should be,” he said.

“We have so many words spoken over us our whole life, and it goes into our subconscious,” Elerrina said.

Ways to renew your mind:

1. Keep yourself unique – if you are conforming to others thoughts you are stunting creativity

“Don’t let the negative thoughts of someone else about your future affect your thoughts about your future,” Jason said.

2. Complete change – renew means to renovate

“If its not fulfilling then you have the opportunity and the free choice to renovate your life and change,” he said.

3. Respect yourself – get a feeling of deep admiration for yourself again

“Don’t give freely to others what they’re not willing to pay a high price to have… say no if you need to say no,” Jason said.
