Beached @ Burleigh is a local service based at Burleigh Church of Christ and offers several networks of support to the Gold Coast community.

Ann, the Administration and Op-shop Manager, says the Op-shop, food help service (where they receive food donations from Oz harvest) and the coffee shop are among the many services they provide.

“A safe place for people to come and sit and rest for a while, get away from all the troubles that a lot of people are having at this time and they just love coming in here and hanging out with kind people,” she said.

Their Senior Minister Pastor Steve started Beached @ Burleigh 4 and a half years ago.

“We’ve built on that foundation and we now have all the other bits as well and we’ve got wonderful volunteers,” Ann said.
