On Wednesday 22nd September, Club Active staff and members dressed in blue and hit the treadmills for their 12 hour treadmill challenge.
Events Manager, Belinda, explains the day was a great success supporting Prostate Cancer for Australia’s 72km Long Run.
“The whole atmosphere was really wonderful a great buzz in the club. Lots of cheering and banter supporting the walkers and runners on the treadmills,” she said.
Each club exceeded the target of 72km and raising just under 4 thousand dollars with heaps of members turning up to support the cause.
“We had over a couple hundred people across the clubs throughout the day, a great turn out,” Belinda said.
Club Active are a very community oriented facility and hope to make it a yearly event and want to thank all their sponsors and supporters to make this event happen.
