A small local jewellery business was highlighted by a community member for the generosity they showed others through this tough time.
Erin, the Owner of Tinka The Label, decided during COVID last year to surprise her customers with a little extra gift idea she obtained from the movie Pay It Forward.
“I wrote a little letter and I included two stud earrings. One was me giving it to the customer to keep and the other was for the customer to give to someone who needed uplifting,” she said.
Then, after hearing about Happy boxes, a project which helps women in remote areas that go without basic needs, she decided to donate some of her Jewellery.
“I contacted them, I just wanted to know how they would feel about if I was to donate some rings and they were more than happy. It’s just something nice and put a smile to their [the women] face, that’s the main thing,” Erin said.
