Most kids love a bed time story however, a local Gold Coast Mum decided to write a bed time story to help kids with their worries.
Author of ‘Sleep Tight Worry Doll’, Amy Markham, explains she got the idea to make a ‘Worry Doll’ and write a book when her stepson continued to worry about different things.
“I decided to make him a homemade Worry Doll out of house hold items and it really worked it, it helped and he use to whisper his worries to it at bedtime without myself or my husband being there,” she said.
Amy realised other children possibly had similar worries and decided to write a book for children aged 3 – 10 with a handmade doll.
“To heal as many little children hearts as I possibly can,” Amy said.
