The Red Rose Foundation and Rize up Foundation have partnered to start the initiative of the Red Bench Project.

A red bench has been placed in one of Helensvale’s busiest community areas and is to be a reminder there is no tolerance for domestic and family violence.

The CEO and founder of RizeUp explains the bench is a place for locals to reflect on how we can change as a community and put an end to domestic violence.

Almost 240 red benches have been built in community areas across Australia since 2019 and Division 2 councillor William Own Jones says he is positive it will spark much needed conversation and awareness.
