Non-for-profit organisation OzHarvest save food surplus from being wasted and donate it to charities to help those in need.
Sally Anderson, Gold Coast Manager for OzHarvest, explains they have achieved 9 million meals to those in need through several organisations across the Gold Coast and Tweed Heads.
“OzHarvest have been able to rescue more than 3,000 tonnes of surplus food from our food donors here on the Gold Coast,” she said.
OzHarvest started on the Gold Coast in 2013 and provides food to 64 charities across the Gold Coast.
“Since then we have been making enormous impacts to the community and also to the environment here,” Sally said.
