The Prostate Cancer Foundation of Australia has created a sit-up 45 challenge for Mens Health Week (14th – 20th June).
Chief Operating Officer, Anne Savage, explains the challenge is to do 45 sit-ups for one week.
“The reason we chose 45 sit-ups is because 45 men, Australian men, are diagnosed with prostate cancer every single day,” she said.
This is the first year they have organised this challenge and currently have 700 Australians registered with an aim of at least 1000 people to take part in this challenge.
“As much as possible we would love to see men involved from the Gold Coast, where we know there is a really high prevalence of prostate cancer in the community,” Anne said.
