Philippines Outreach

Agape Outreach Philippines Experience

Trip will include:

  • Working with families living in the Payatas Dump
  • Swimming with whale sharks
  • Visiting a sardine run
  • Seeing turtles

This is a partnership with Inspired Adventures.

While we don’t go until April 2025, there is a paid component as well as a fundraising component.

The fundraising helps the homeless here in Australia.

Emotional Regulation, Positive Behaviours and Social Skill Building

Connective Therapies puts your child’s emotional well-being first, supports positive behaviours, and enhances social skills.

Our interactive before and after school program is designed to nurture these vital aspects of development.

Our engaging sessions feature mindfulness, play and art therapy, regulation tools and Ron Davis Autism techniques.

Men’s Shed

‘Focus on Blokes’ Men’s Shed is held on the 4th Wednesday of every month.

All men aged over 18 can come and connect with old mates and make some new ones, have a bite to eat and get some answers to life’s real issues.

With guest speakers bringing their insights, it’s a great place to share life changing experiences.

Held on the fourth Wednesday of every month at 31 Edmund Rice Drive in Ashmore from 6pm.

The Gold Coast Writers’ Association May Meeting

Meetings for members and guests include an exciting speaker and hands-on workshop.

Our Speaker Brian Vining is a Brisbane, Australia based filmmaker, who studied Film and TV at Queensland college of Art and has worked in the local industry for several years.

Brian will give us some hints and tips on writing for the screen and give us a demonstration of some screenwriting software.

There will be a short break, to mingle and have some light refreshments.

Then GCWA Committee members, Lizz Curry and Louisa Wright will host a workshop on Writing Impactful Dialogue.
